This is going to be short and sweet.
By the way, this place was called Meeting Point. Not to be confused with some other place in Brussels called THE Meeting Point. Fun Fact: I learned on my tour today that there are two colleges here named exactly the same thing but are two different entities. What is with the dutch and naming everything the same thing?!
Anyways, I was on my way to a tour when it started to down pour. I took refuge in this small cafe called Meeting Point, right by Brussels Center Train Station. Since I was there, and I hadn’t really eaten since I arrived in Brussels, I thought “what the hell” and ordered a sandwich.
Here’s the thing. I love bread. Bread is my homie. So, it’s really hard for me to dislike anything that is mostly made up of bread. With that being said, this place was good. The sandwich was too big for me, and I felt bad leaving most of it behind. I ordered a “Club Sandwich” because the menu was not in English and I assumed that would be a safe bet. Fun fact: a “club sandwich” in Brussels does not have bacon on it. Total bummer, right?! It did, however, have hard boiled eggs on it. Like, what?! Honestly, if I had known that, I would have been skeptical. But, taking a bite into it -without knowing what was about to hit my taste buds – I must say…I really liked the combination
This won’t be a place I will be stopping back while here in Brussels, and I wouldn’t necessarily say you should go out of your way to try it. But, if you find yourself exiting the train station and looking for a quick bite, it’s not a bad option. I got the sandwich, a small can of Sprite, and a bottle of water for only 7 euros.
XOXO,
